Freemasons from Commercial Lodge 1391 have proudly donated £300 to Rothley Community Library, supporting its vital role as a hub for learning, community engagement, and literacy in the local area.

The donation was presented by the Worshipful Master of Commercial Lodge, Jim Curtis, to Sue  Barnes, a dedicated volunteer at the library, in recognition of the library’s outstanding work in providing access to books, digital resources, and educational programs for all ages.

Jim Curtis commented:"As Freemasons, we believe in supporting our local communities, and Rothley Community Library plays a key role in enriching lives. We’re delighted to contribute to its ongoing success and hope this donation helps to sustain its important work."

Rothley Community Library is a volunteer-led organization that offers a welcoming space for readers, learners, and residents who benefit from its free resources and community-driven initiatives. The donation from Commercial Lodge 1391 will go towards maintaining and expanding the library’s services.

The Lodge, which has a long-standing tradition of charity and community service, encourages men from all backgrounds to come together in friendship and contribute positively to society. More information about Commercial Lodge 1391 can be found at www.commercial1391.com.
